What is YEP Bootcamp?

Learn the way you’ll work.

YEP Bootcamp, the Young Engineering Product Builder Bootcamp, is a 17-week, fully online bootcamp. You learn end-to-end product development by building two real products.

Along the way you also do the work every small startup team shares: pricing, marketing, sales and customer support. It is 100% remote because much of startup work now is.

YEP Bootcamp is offered by LifeShine Learning Solutions, an action-oriented learning company. LifeShine is an independent company, partnered with vel venture studio.

Why this bootcamp?

The gap between graduates and first hires.

We’re founders, so we know what founders look for in a first hire: someone who can contribute from day one, learn fast, and stay calm when the plan changes.

Most freshers don’t see that gap. They keep adding courses and certificates, unsure what actually stands between them and the job they want.

Meanwhile AI tools are changing how products get built. Small teams now design, build and launch in weeks, and need people who move between building, selling and supporting customers. YEP Bootcamp closes that gap.

What you’ll learn
  • One modern stack, start to finish: TypeScript; Next.js (React) for web and React Native with Expo for mobile; Supabase for database, logins and storage; Vercel and Expo Application Services to ship. Beginners are welcome: AI-assisted coding is part of how we teach.
  • How to work in a small, AI-first team: design and ship features quickly, fix problems and answer customers, and still help with marketing, sales and operations.
  • From people who do this for a living: guest sessions with senior technology, product and banking leaders from our network, and independent consultants on careers in the gig economy.
What you’ll gain
  • Two shipped products, a web app and a mobile app, in a public portfolio on GitHub and LinkedIn.
  • Working knowledge of the tools startups use every day, plus design thinking, systems thinking and product planning.
  • Hands-on exposure to pricing, marketing, selling and customer support, drawn from Founder OS.
  • A Certificate of Completion and a Project Completion Letter from LifeShine Learning Solutions.
  • A guaranteed interview and an internship of at least 3 months with vel venture studio or its partner companies when you graduate.
  • A route for future founders: introductions to vel venture studio’s programmes, at vel’s discretion.
Interviews, internships and careers

Getting graduates into real work is how we measure ourselves.

When you graduate, we guarantee you an interview and an internship of at least 3 months with vel venture studio or one of its partner companies. It is offered within 60 days of graduation, done remotely, with any stipend set by the host and stated in your offer letter.

After that: introductions for job openings across our partner network, and six months of career support, including introductions, interview preparation and portfolio reviews.

The guarantee applies to learners who graduate, as set out in the Terms & Conditions. We don’t guarantee a job or a salary.

Finding your real fit. Through self-assessment and mentor reviews we help you see where your strengths lie. Changing direction isn’t throwing away your degree: an engineer who reads people well might be a standout in presales.

Assessment and completion

No written exams. Weekly milestones 30% · three sprint deliverables 30% · assigned-tasks portfolio 15% · teamwork and conduct 10% · Demo Day and final portfolio 15%.

  • Attend at least 85% of live session days (Batch 1: 43 of 50).
  • Never miss more than 3 consecutive session days, except for documented emergencies.
  • Submit both projects and all sprint deliverables, present on Demo Day with a published case study, and score 60% or more.

Learners who don’t graduate may rejoin once within 12 months at 60% off that bootcamp’s fee.
