LifeShine Learning Solutions does not tolerate harassment of anyone, of any gender, in YEP Bootcamp. This policy protects learners, mentors, facilitators, guests and staff: online, at meetups, on client projects, and in any communication connected to the bootcamp.
What counts as harassment
Any unwelcome conduct that makes someone feel intimidated, humiliated or unsafe, including:
- Sexual harassment: unwelcome advances, requests for sexual favours, sexual remarks or jokes, showing sexual content, unwanted physical contact.
- Bullying: repeated insults, mockery, exclusion or intimidation.
- Discrimination-based harassment: targeting someone for their gender, religion, caste, language, region, disability, age or background.
- Online harassment: abusive messages, stalking, sharing someone’s images or personal information without consent, unwanted private messages after being asked to stop.
How to report
- Who to tell: the Grievance Officer (Ms. Aby V, support@lifeshinelearning.com), or any facilitator or mentor you trust, who must pass it on to the Grievance Officer.
- How: in writing or verbally. Anonymous reports are accepted, though they can limit what we can investigate.
- If you are in danger, contact the police (112) first. We’ll support you in doing so.
What happens next
- Within 48 hours: we acknowledge your report and agree interim steps if needed, such as moving teams or pausing someone’s access.
- Fair inquiry: both sides are heard, by people with no conflict of interest. We aim to finish within 30 days.
- Outcome: both parties are told the result. Actions range from a written warning to removal from the bootcamp and ending any partner placement.
- POSH Act cases: where a complaint involves LifeShine staff and falls under India’s Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013, it is handled through the committee that Act requires.
Our commitments
- Confidentiality: information is shared only with those who need it to act.
- No retaliation: anyone who reports in good faith, or helps an inquiry, is protected. Retaliation is itself a serious breach.
- Support: we’ll point anyone affected to professional support.
Making a complaint that later can’t be proved is not misconduct. Knowingly making a false complaint is.
